LandlordViews helps people research rental properties, share rental experiences, and participate in conversations about landlords and property managers. This policy explains what information LandlordViews collects, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication information. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not displayed publicly.
• Reviews and responses: We collect ratings, written comments, certifications, landlord or property-manager responses, and related moderation information.
• Listings: We collect property, landlord, property-manager, address, rent, bedroom, website, and other listing information that you submit.
• Photos: Verified users may upload photographs with reviews. Photos may contain information embedded by the device that created them. Do not upload photographs containing unnecessary personal information.
• Requests and communications: We collect information you provide when requesting a correction, disputing content, reporting a problem, or otherwise contacting us.

Anonymous reviews

You may submit certain reviews without creating an account. “Anonymous” means your name and email address are not required for the review and are not displayed with it. It does not mean the submission is technically untraceable. Our hosting and anti-abuse providers may process an IP address, device or browser information, timestamps, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent spam, investigate misuse, and protect the service. LandlordViews does not intentionally publish this technical information with your review.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, LandlordViews and its service providers may automatically collect IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, timestamps, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and interaction or diagnostic information.

How we use information

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve LandlordViews.
• Create accounts, verify email addresses, and distinguish verified reviews from anonymous reviews.
• Publish approved listings, reviews, ratings, responses, and photos.
• Moderate submissions, enforce site rules, prevent fraud and spam, and investigate security incidents.
• Correct records, respond to requests, and resolve disputes.
• Measure site use, understand performance, and support advertising.
• Comply with applicable law and protect the rights and safety of users, LandlordViews, and others.

What is public

Approved reviews, ratings, review text, responses, uploaded photos, listing information, property addresses, and landlord or property-manager information may be publicly visible and indexed by search engines. Account email addresses and technical anti-abuse information are not intended to be displayed publicly. Do not submit Social Security numbers, financial-account information, private contact information, medical information, or other sensitive personal information.

Cookies, analytics, advertising, and anti-abuse services

LandlordViews uses third-party services that may set or read cookies and similar technologies:

• Google Analytics helps measure traffic and use of the site.
• Google AdSense displays and measures advertising. Depending on your location and settings, Google and its partners may use cookies or other identifiers to provide personalized or non-personalized ads.
• Cloudflare Turnstile evaluates anonymous-review submissions for spam and automated abuse.
• Supabase provides database, file-storage, and account-authentication services.
• Netlify hosts and delivers the site and runs server-side functions.

These providers process information under their own privacy terms. You can manage cookies through your browser and adjust Google advertising choices at Google My Ad Center. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect sign-in, security checks, or other site features.

When information is shared

We may share information with service providers that operate the site, store data, verify users, prevent abuse, measure traffic, or serve advertising. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce our rules, investigate misuse, protect rights or safety, or complete a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service. Public submissions are shared with anyone who accesses the site.

LandlordViews does not sell personal information for money. Some advertising or analytics activity may be treated as “sharing,” “selling,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws even when no money changes hands.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service, maintain the integrity and history of reviews and listings, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by the type of information. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or records maintained for fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Your choices and rights

You may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account or submission. You may also request that inaccurate listing information be corrected or that content be reviewed under the site’s moderation process. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required by law, needed for security or dispute resolution, or necessary to preserve the integrity of public records and reviews.

You may disable cookies in your browser, use available advertising controls, choose an anonymous review where offered, or avoid creating an account. Applicable state law may provide additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, targeted advertising, or certain disclosures.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No website, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

LandlordViews is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please notify us so the information can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

External links

The site may link to property websites, maps, advertisers, and other third-party services. LandlordViews does not control their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to those services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Material changes may also be communicated through the site when appropriate.

Contact and privacy requests

For a privacy question, data request, correction, or deletion request, use the contact or dispute method made available on LandlordViews.com and identify the account, review, listing, or information involved. Do not include sensitive identification documents unless specifically requested through a secure method.
